Kode9 & Burial 'Fabriclive 100' 4LP (V/A Comp)
Rinse-FM-DJ Kode9 started the Hyperdub label in 2004, which quickly developed into an innovative breeding ground for UK bass sounds of the post-millennium. Kode9 himself released three albums, several mix samplers, as well as tracks / EPs with Rephlex, Warp, Domino and Soul Jazz, among others. One of the most extraordinary and distinguished Hpyerdub artists is undoubtedly the enigmatic Burial, who set new standards in contemporary electronic music with his timeless masterpieces "Burial" (2006) and "Untrue" (2007). Together, the two luminaries create a 74-minute, hypnotic trip, the 37 tracks of which penetrate into the most obscure corners with a bewildering number of tempo changes. The artists come from Africa, China, South America, Japan, but also Europe and the USA. The stunning mix covers a variety of genres from Gqom, Juke and Foodwork to Trance, Jungle and Grime, as well as loads of material that cannot be categorized, and sounds as if it was composed of a box of unknown mixtapes that were found somewhere in the gutter. A fitting final of an iconic CD series!
